Offspring

After completing a series of magpies for a residency. I have discovered Magpies have anthropomorphic characteristics. These paintings are more personal, a self portrait, who I am, my family. Now that I am a mother I understand the protective nature of the magpie, don't get me wrong, I am still scared of them but after watching and researching the correlation between these birds and my family has fascinated me.
